University Mentoring

ALTO’s 2015 events calendar kicked off on a warm February evening with a Mentoring networking session held at York Butter Factory(62 King St, Melbourne). Around 80 people attended the event, which was targeted mainly at university students and young professionals looking to take the next step in their careers. ALTO is a community whose mission is to support, connect and celebrate our leaders of today and tomorrow. What was quite pleasing was that there was no shortage of mentors willing to offer advice to the next generation.

ALTO Committee Member Joseph Valente reiterated the value of mentoring in his welcoming remarks, owing to the role it played in his own personal and professional development. The event was part of ALTO’s Strengthening Multicultural Communities grant from the Victorian Multicultural Commission, and reflected the association’s ongoing determination to engage young, talented Italian-Australians. Our special thanks to Brunetti for catering the event.
